We are women of purpose, vision, faith, and mission. Through our work and financial support, we make a positive difference to many individuals in our hometowns and communities all the globe. We invite you to explore how you can share the gift of YOU--your compassion, interests, and abilities--with those in need through membership in the United Methodist women of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference.
The organized Unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
United Methodist Women connect and gather at the Local, District, and Conference level to learn, grow and do mission. Every 4 years, women from around the world meet at Assembly--a motivating, uplifting experience. Mission and mission education may focus on Local, District, Conference, Nation or World concerns, primarily concerns for women and children.
While our chapter of the United Methodist Women is local, its influence and reach are global!
Most months there is a 'General Meeting' on the first Wednesday at 1 pm.
We also have 2 Circles: Martha Circle meets monthly on the third Monday at 7 p.m.
Mary Circle meets monthly on the third Tuesday at 1 p.m.
