GuestFAQs

Q:  What styles of worship do you offer?

A:  It takes all kinds of worship to engage all kinds of people.  We try to have something for everyone.  Check out the Worship Experience page for details.

  • AwakenCelebration--Sundays at 9:30 am in FriendshipHall.
  • HeritageService--Sundays at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary.

Q:  What should I expect on a Sunday?

A:  You are invited to "come as you are."  There is no dress code.  You will be warmly welcomed in jeans and a t-shirt or a 3-piece suit.  Whether you are a life-long believer or checking out church for the first time.  You are welcome here!

Q:  Can I take communion?

A:  United Methodists practice what we call an "open table."  This means that all persons who desire to listen and respond to God, regardless of spiritual background or membership, are welcome to participate in Holy Communion at SullivanFirst.

Q:  Do you offer child care?

A:  Yes!  We love children of all ages!  For your convenience, we offer a safe nursery with paid staff for children from birth to 3 years old during both services.  We also have a Children'sChurch during the 9:30 am AwakenCelebration.

Q:  Where are you located?

A:  We are located on the corner of Jefferson and Hamilton--directly across from the Fire Station.

Q:  Where do I park?

A:  We have plenty of parking in the paved lot on the other side of Jefferson.  There is also a gravel lot west of the church, and several spaces located on the same side of Jefferson as the church.

Q:  The building is huge...where do I go?

A:  The AwakenCelebration takes place in FriendshipHall which is located just through the double glass doors at the drive-up portico.  The HeritageService takes place in the Sanctuary and the main entrance is located under the maroon canopy (an elevator is available if you need to get to the Sanctuary and enter the building under the portico).

Q:  Are there opportunities to get involved in the church?

A:  Absolutely!  Whether you play a musical instrument or sing, have a gift to teach or love children, enjoy baking or landscaping, want to serve others on a mission trip or make a difference in the community, there's a place for you.

Q:  How do I learn more?

A:  The best way to get a feel for what we do and how we do it is to check out The Messenger (our monthly newsletter), or come to the next DiscoverFirst Brunch, or talk with our pastor.  We hope to see you soon!
