At SullivanFirst we have an opportunity for high school students to attend a week each Summer serving at a work camp through YouthWorks. During this week of camp, students get placed into teams with other students and adult leaders and have the opportunity to work on a resident's house in the community in which we work in. This work could range from painting, cleaning, helping with yard work or doing other simple work projects as well as partnering with local organizations to serve children in the community. During the week, students are also challenged to grow in their faith as they interact with evening programs and worship experiences while serving others. While it only lasts a week, the impact from a work camp lasts a lifetime.
This year we will be going to Osage Nation, Oklahoma on June 9-14 2019 where we will be participating in a variety of different service projects that include painting, cleaning, and partnering with local organizations to serve children in the community. All students from 14 years old (OR entering the 9th grade in the fall of 2019) to 18 years old are welcome to participate.
